How to use this manual

This highly-visual manual was created by adding descriptive and instructional text to screen shots of the XCPT application. These helpful images can be viewed by subject matter in sequence to give you a better understanding of how XCPT works. To view, click on the desired support topic found in the Index of Support Topics. Next, double click on the first of the five images located on the left side of the screen to open it. To view the images in sequence, click on the arrow button located at the top of the image.

 
  Getting Started
 
This wizard begins the basic of building a new Xcpt Treatment Plan.
The first phase reviews the steps of acquiring the patient image from various digital sources.
 
1. Create a new patient folder 2. Acquire an image from a scanner 3. Acquire an image from a digital camera 4. Acquire an image from a screen shot 5. Acquire an image from a file
 
  Preparing Images
 
The third phase of starting a new Treatmnt Plan involves finalizing the Plan for use.
When this step is completed the Treatment Plan is ready for the Doctor to use with the patient.
 
1. Open the image file to be used in the treatment plan 2. The Zoom tool allows viewing the entire X-ray 3. Crop the X-ray to obtain the desired area of the image 4. The Auto tool sizes the image for a treatment plan 5. Place the Left and Right orientation indicators
 
  Preparing Document

6. Place the patient label on the Treatment Tlan 7. Save the finalized Treatment Plan 8. Number the teeth in the Treatment Plan 9. Close the Treatment Plan so it can be used on oher computers View the Treatment Plan in the browser
 
  Interface Basics
 
This first session describes the various toolbars and menus a user will see when the XCPT application is first started.
The intent is to provide the user with some simple geography of the XCPT software.
